Starting the program
- Either click on the "office" file located inside the libreoffice directory
- Or, click on the "office" desktop icon (which would need to be created manually)
- Or, drag an appropriate data file onto the "office" desktop icon

Creating a desktop icon
- Drag the "office" file from the libreoffice directory to the desktop
- Right-click on this new desktop icon and select: File 'office' > Set Icon...
- Drag the "libreoffice48.png" file from the libreoffice directory into the box that has opened

System integration
- There is the option to integrate portable libreoffice, at current location, into system by clicking on the integrate_office script file located inside the libreoffice directory

Making use of Java Runtime Environment
- Download from http://www.smokey01.com/coolpup/javaruntimeenvironment.html
- Activate at: Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Java > Use a Java runtime environment > Add
