Binary code distribution installation

  1. Verify, via the command-line interface, that sufficient, free partition space is available for installation:
      df -h
  2. Download and place the file at /mnt/home
  3. Then follow either of the instructions:

Applications using J.R.E.

Some applications that can make use of Java Runtime Environment may need to be configured and re-started after J.R.E. installation, e.g.:
Web browser configuration confirmation tests:
To execute these tests JavaScript needs to be enabled within the Web browser.
